With E3 now a thing of the past, all eyes are on Gamescom, which kicked off on August 20th. Gamescom is the biggest gaming event, and it’s already delivering some exciting news.
Here are some of the top announcements so far:
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
We don’t know what’s next for Indiana Jones in the movies, but the new game, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, might be a fresh start. The trailer for the Xbox and PC game was shown at Gamescom, and it’s got all the classic Indy action—whips, archaeology, and adventure.
The game releases on December 9th for Xbox and PC. PlayStation 5 players will have to wait until spring 2025.
Borderlands 4
After the Borderlands movie flopped, Gearbox and 2K are bouncing back with a new game: Borderlands 4. They haven’t shared much about the story or gameplay yet, but the trailer looks great. Expect it to drop in 2025.
Batman: Arkham Shadow
The latest Batman game was announced earlier, but a new trailer just dropped. Batman: Arkham Shadow is a VR game for Meta Quest 3, packed with intense combat and soaring through Gotham from Batman’s point of view. It’s set to release in October.
Secret Levels (Amazon Prime Video)
Secret Levels isn’t a game, but it’s still big news for gamers. This new Amazon Prime Video series will adapt a different video game in every episode. Some games featured include Dungeons & Dragons, PAC-MAN, Sifu, and Mega Man. The show premieres on December 10th.
Gamescom continues through August 25th, so there’s more news to come!
