Amazon Pharmacy: Delivering Your Prescriptions Faster Than Ever

For the past twenty years, Amazon has been changing the way we shop online by making fast delivery a standard. Now, they’re taking their speedy service beyond packages and into prescription medicines.

In big cities like Los Angeles and New York, Amazon Pharmacy is now offering same-day delivery for prescriptions. This service started in 2020, building on Amazon’s purchase of PillPack in 2018.

Just like ordering anything else on Amazon, you can now order your prescriptions and get them delivered within a day or two, without paying extra. This makes getting your meds quicker and easier than ever.

Amazon is setting up smaller facilities stocked with common medicines for quick access. While they might not have every type of medication, they’ll have what you need for common illnesses like the flu, colds, or high blood pressure.

They’re not stopping there. Amazon plans to bring this speedy service to more cities this year. And they’re getting creative with how they deliver, using bikes in New York and drones in places like College Station, Texas.

Andrew Tropeano, host of News Around America, says Amazon’s goal is to be the fastest at delivering anything you need right to your doorstep. And with their massive resources and infrastructure, they’re well on their way to achieving it.
